Propose Items copying batch number

My client is using the standard feature in VA01 to propose items from a previously entered sales order.  They enter the order header data and select edit -propose items.  Here they can either select just the items or the items and quantity.  Either way, if there was a batch number on the previous order, it copies the batch number as well.  The batch number being copied may be expired or have no stock.  They are currently manually removing the batch from the order.

How do I configure the system to only copy the material or material and quantity and not the batch number?

Hi Pam,

in VTAA tcode (copy control) at line item level, tick "do not copy batch"

Thanks JM but that is already checked and I don't think this is copy control since they aren't creating an order with reference, just using propose items once the header data is entered already.
