Moving Return Stock Direct to Scrap

Dear all,

one small issue with my client .

They want the return stock to be scrapped directly.

we suggested to used 453 and 551 but this will be create an accounting entry which they dont want .

they want to scrap the return directly.

they are ok for development but is it possible to scrap the return directly is there any std Movement type i can copy and devlelop please give some idea

Hi Suresh,

There is no standard movement type directly to post from customer returns, either you have to first take it into Unrestricted or Blocked stock then use 551

If customer does not want Accounting document, then how you valuate the Material you are scrapping?

For example, you sent 10 materials to customers and your inventory will be updated accordingly

as Inventory a/c will be debited and COGS will be credited

now when you are scrapping, Inventory and COGS has to be adjusted

Just discuss with your FI and MM guys on how they are adjusting it

If customer insists on this requirement of not having accounting document, then create a new movement type by Copying 551 and dont assign any account grouping

please discuss before in hand with FI and MM doing this, else It will have huge impact
