In a sales order I have already populated a value for a condition type using the normal pricing condition technique mechanism but still want to override it based on some calculations. Can I do it using the alternate condition base value routine in a Pricing Procedure? In other words I want to use the value arrived using condition technique as a base value and do some math on it.
Is there any other available approach for achieving this?

Yes, You can. Get the logic coded by an abaper for Alternative condition base value.
Alternatively, a simpler way to handle will be have additional surcharde / discount condition to arrive at required price. Based on the scenario you require to take a call.
It will be recommended to go ahead with option suggested, as incase of change in any formula, it can be handled manually or through condition record.
