what are steps we have to do in solman_setup in solution manger7.1

hi

we recently configure sap solman7.1 , we upgrade the kernal and sp levels to 10.now we start the solman_setup, iam confusing regording the solman_setup.my questions are, we will use the solman system only for support pack levels in my ehp5 system for this we have to configure the

mopz,this is the objective of this work..  sap router configuration done sapoos1 rfc conneted, my question are

1. what are sttings  i have to do in solman before run the solman_setup

2.how to add the systems for sld ? and we we type http://hostname:50000, broweser shows the sld screnn, so can i add my system in that?

3how to onfigure sld and lmdb  and how to add the systems.what are jobs we have to run before this and what are softwares i have to add for this

so please any one can help me

hi

when i try to cteate logical system .got the error no chages allowed to sap* with client 000

if i try with ddic same error comes, if i login with 001 same error comes from both users

First you have to create a new named user. In SOLMAN_SETUP, further users will be created in the guided procedure. In order to use your Solution Manager, nearly every step is mandatory (e. g. when LMDB is not configured, SMSY can't be used).

System data must be sent with RZ70 / SLD data supplier.

solman.

loginging with 001 client and user  ddic, can i create user in 001 and login to solman_setup

Hi Veera,

Please check the mentioned links it is not that easy as was earlier ...there are lot of new concepts and you have read and understand them to work in the new version.

above links will help you to run the wizard for providing sld information creating users running background jobs which are relevant etc

create a new client in solman and then login to this client and run the wizard for system preparation basic configuration etc.
