Hi Folks,
We would like to integrate SAP with iPad and iPhone. For example, bar code scanning data of the iPad or iPhone has to be sent to the SAP system.
Is this possible with an app that can call a XI webservice? Please let me know of possible options in this scenario.
Please note we are currently on XI 7.0 SP21
Regards,
Anuj
Hi Anuj,
You only need to do in XI/PI a scenario SOAP - RFC or PROXY ABAP.. The PI URL needs to be accessible by internet or you configure a proxy in a DMZ to connect internet with PI. With sender SOAP you will have a WSDL to be used from the IPAD/IPHONE aplicattion and with the RFC or ABAP Proxy you will send/retrieve data for/from the ECC system.
To call a wsdl from iPhone, searching by google seems to be not too difficult: brian's blog: iPhone Development: Accessing SOAP Services with WSDL2ObjC
Regards.
