Funds Center Derivation in MIRO Material Transactions

Former Member

Dear Experts,

While doing an adjustment entry in MIRO for freight costs adjustments, we enter the PO number in the "PO reference" tab, the Adjustment G/L Account in "G/L Account" tab and a list of materials to be adjusted in "Material" tab.

The PO Line items derive their Fund Center from the Purchase Order directly, while the adjustment G/L account also derives its fund center correctly. However, the material line items in Material tab derive their respective commitment items (Inventory Commitment Items) but since there are no CO Objects directly assigned to these line items, it is unable to derive Fund Centers for the same.

Kindly advice how we can derive the fund center in this scenario.

Thank you and have a good day.

Hi,

Please make derivation rule, expenses account should be assign to cost center.

There is no expense account in this scenario.

Can any one help me to derive fund center to MIRO material tab or subsequent debit/credit scenario. It would be timely help!

Hello.

I think you are doing a wrong process.

If you put the PO item, u can't use account tab.

The fund center must derive from PO reference.

Try to post debit/credit scenario with other FI trx.

This is the process which you can bring material tab thru certain configurations. For your understanding, fund center is not deriving from PO in subsequent debit process in Miro.

This is in pending for long time.Hope someone will help to fix this!

Without using account tab.

Put the PO refernce. (The PO must have the fund center of course)

Trace the entire operation.

Why didn't it derive the fund center?

Put some screenshots please.

Thanks

Hi,

What is the nature of the commitment item deriving through inventory GL. Means commitment category and transaction type.

If it is 30/3, it will consume budget and you have to write a new derivation rule. You can take the reference of other transactions also in which inventory account is hitting. How in those transaction system is deriving fund center. There are many inventory transactions, in which system does not require cost center.

If it is 40/3 nature, system will not consume budget. You can derive dummy like fund center in this type of case.

Its all about derivation setting.

Dear Ankit,

We have configured our Inventory Commitment Items as 30/3 since we have to track budget for Inventory items.

When we enter Material numbers in "Material" tab in MIRO transaction, it will derive the Commitment Item through OBYC settings, but there is no functionality to enter Funds Center. This is crucial since any material movements have to be tracked in the budget.

Thanks and appreciate your help.
