Automation of results calculation for a calculated characteristic

Hi,

I have defined a characteristic as calculated characteristic by selecting the respective control indicator, assigned the formula in the inspection plan.

During Results recording for a given lot, Entered the results for two characteristics used in the formula & then for calculating the result for calculated characteristic chose Extra -> Formula -> Calculate Formula. With this system has calculated the result for calculated characteristic.

Now I want to check if we can automate the results calculation for calculated characteristic, once we enter results for two characteristics used in calculation.

Hi,

Once you have entered the results into first two MICs, then you don't need to go to Extra> Formula path to calculate the results.

Once the results are entered and valuated, save the results. Re open the inspection lot and you would see the third MIC, calculated one, with the calculated value.

Hi Sadhu

If we want the results to  check then we need to go Extra -> Formula -> Calculate Formula to calculate the result for calculated characteristic. You can do this by click on calculator icon.

Other wise as Nitin said when we save result recording with out  doing above the third MIC result calculation happens for calculated characteristic .

Hello Hari,

You can "Close" results directly without going to Extras>Formula>Calculate; System will automatically calculate formula, Provided all Input characteristics are simultaneously or before valuated.

Moreover you can go for automatic closing of MICs.
