Hi Kumar

After this you need to go through the following steps.

1) Assign control key QM04 which is having confirmation required option in its configuration.

2) spro-> Qm -> Basic settings -> maintain settings at plant level

in Inspection lot creation tab make sure

Order type : Ind.settlement 'QL01' and coll settlement 'QL02'.

3) spro-> Qm -> quality inspection-> inspection lot creation -> Maintain inspection types

Here assign order type QL02 for your inspection type.

4) spro-> Qm -> Environment ->Central functions-> Maintain QM order types

Here assign Cat 6 QM Order to settlement order types  QL01, QL02.

5) Then create QM order in QK01 for your material with material, Plant, Inspection type combination.

Here enter need to enter order type QL01, controling area, cost center, Functional area, Profit center.

After creating you can view the QM order number in MM03 for this inspection type.

6) Then after result recording while saving system will through a pop up to enter the actual consumption values of activities.

7) You can look the cost analysis in usage decision Extras-> costs.

Hi Kesava,

Thanks for your detailed reply...

but my question is first we need to create a QM order and then we need to assign this order to inspection lot..is my understanding correct ??...one more question is same QM order is used for different inspection lots or we need to create one QM order for one inspection lot....

Thanks

Hi Kumar

QM order won't be assigned to inspection lot.We have to create QM order with the combination of material, inspection type, plant. For one materials we will assign one or more inspection type correct!!!

So for each inspection type assigned in material master we have to create the QM order. QM order will be shown in MM03 once created in QK01. After this cost will calculated for this order each time when we record the results and enters the consumed activities for that inspection type.

Here to through the pop up after result recording to enter the actual activities we have to use control key QM04 for operation in inspection plan.

Hi Kesava,

Thanks for your reply....executed one full flow and understood...still I have few questions...

1. There will not be a individual QM order for individual inspection lot....All inspection lots of a material, plant and inspection type combintion are mapped to single QM order....

2. If I want to create a single QM order for one inspection lot then how to configure it in the system...is such provision is there...

3. Once we create a QM order it is getting updated in the QM view in the corresponding inspection type in material master..How frequently this QM order is created.. like for every month or year....what the criterion..

appreaciate if you share your previous business scenarios in this....

Thanks

Hi Kumar

There is no QM order for individual QM order.Qm order won't be created for inspection lot. There is no need to create separate QM orders for each inspection lot as Qm order also a master.
