Hi Kamal,

The following link has all the details on SAP directory structure it is a bit technical but explains it to you.

SAP System Directories on UNIX - General Administration Tasks - SAP Library

Instance-specific data, symbolic links to the data for one system

This directory contains files for the operation of a local instance.

There is a subdirectory for each instance. Each instance directory has the name of the related instance.

The instance name (instance ID) of the ABAPcentral instance isDVEBMGS<Instance_Number>, and the instance name of an ABAP dialog instance isD<Instance_Number>. In a high-availability system, there is also an ABAP central services instance called ASCS<Instance_Number>

Example

The file system structure might look as follows:On a central instance with SAP system IDC11 and instance name DVEBMGS00, the ABAP dialog instance has the instance name D01.

As you can see it your Central instance specific directory the Instance number which is what you see you on SAP GUI under Instance number will form the last part of directory name. That said if your instance number is 01 your central instance directory would be DVEBMGS01.

Kind Regards,

Johan
