hello guys I need to know how does APO maps customers (ship to.ECC) into customer group?

Whenever you post any query, please elaborate your question with additional details both technical and functional. This will help getting quick and accurate answers.

Every Customer in ECC has an attribute as 'Customer Group' assigned to it.  Using SAP's Standard Extractors these master data and their attributes can be extracted into APO-BW or in Enterprise BI system.  This data gets loaded into Infoobjects in APO.  MPOS contains these Characteristics Infoobjects. So it is important extract correct data into respective infoobjects which are used in MPOS.

would this be a level in customer heirechy and do I need to do any type of mapping in APO BW  and how we will generate the CVC

Hello Ganesh,

Once you have master data(Characteristics and Attributes) are loaded in APO Characteristic Infoobjects. Then you can load Sales History in Infocube.  Then generate CVCs based on Sales History in the infocube.

You will need BI person's help for loading master data into Infoobjects and loading Sales History into Infocube.

Refer this link to know how to load data into Infoobject, it will give you some idea

Once above is done by BI person, you can create CVCs based on Infocube(by creating variant using /SAPAPO/MC62) and load data from Infocube into Planning Area(by creating variant of /SAPAPO/TSCUBE)
