Install Error SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2

Hi together,

I am new to SAP and to get into it I would like to Install SAP NetWeaver 7.0.

During the Installation it stops with an Error during the step: Install Database Server.

Error message:

An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :Error during execution of command identifier 'DB_ENUM' : com.sap.dbtech.rte.comm.RTEException: Server or DB unknown). You can now:

• Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
• Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
• Stop the option and continue with it later.

Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW702/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL/.

Does someone Know the problem?

HI,

Can you attach the sapinst.log and dev_sapint.log's as well please.

Here are the required log files.

     sapinst.txt = sapinst.log

     sapinst_dev.txt = sapinst_dev.log

Hi,

First of I see the following:

FSL-01027  Account user="UltraMH\SAP_LocalAdmin" does not exist.

So create this account where required.

Also could you attach C:/Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW702/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL/sdbinst.log

And also any others logs with the latest change/date entries.

Once you have created this user account perhaps try and start the DB manually and retry or just retry your last step.

I tryed to set up de user account "SAP_LocalAdmin" but the systems answer was, that the account allready exists.

Hi Matthias,

What are the other *log* files in your sapinst directory are there any db or maxdb log files i.e. in your directory of the database i.e.. knldiag and knldiag.old and knldiag.err files if you see another reason perhaps also for the DB not starting?

Hi Johan,

thanks for your help. I found the problem.

Somehow the installation needed the network connection at my homeplace. I was at work and only used my internet connection over my cell phone.

Now at home, I tried again and it was working without a problem.
