Hello,

I appreciate all the help I can get to complete my installation

I'm following the installation guide.

Any other steps/configurations to follow is welcomed.

1. I've installed Java and define java_home (j2se sdk jre1_2_4_10)

2. Started with Oracle1 == H:\..\471ides\Oracle9i\oracle1\NT\I386\sapserver.cmd

3. Defined ORAHOME .....{(oracle9i)(18g+73g hdd)}

4. Checked no to ORACLE DATABASE

5. Started installation

6. As soon as it starts and about 3% AN ERROR WINDOW WILL POP UP WITH THIS MESSAGE.

\..\..\OCOMMON\NLS\ADMIN\DATA\LX31041.nlb

I tried this on Win==2000, Win===2003

This is how far I've gone. About 10 attempts on each OS.

Thanks again

Hi, Just a small suggestion before starting installation create a separate user with administration priviledges and start installation by loging in to that user.

This solves a lot of errors.

at step 6, provide the FULL error message you get. I believe that a DLL or NT service is still being used.

could you please paste the detailed log and also which SP you have installed? I think you have to start oracle installation sapserver.cmd from SAP folder.
