Fiori installation, missing objects

Former Member

Hi guys,

We started implementing Fiori a couple of weeks ago and we had several issues, we were fixing them but we guess we still have missing objects. Please check the questions:

1) The configuration documentation mention that the following OData services should be included:

Service

Status

/UI2/LAUNCHPAD

Included and activated

/UI2/PAGE_BUILDER_CONF

Included and activated

/UI2/PAGE_BUILDER_CUST

Included and activated

/UI2/PAGE_BUILDER_PERS

Included and activated

/UI2/INTEROPMissing
/UI2/TRANSPORTMissing

As you can see we have 2 missed services. Am I correct and they should be provided? If yes, in which installation package they should be included?

2) We could launch the launchpad, but the logoff button is not working, the reason is because the logoff service is also missing, should it be provided? If yes, in what package?

We would need to know the packages so our basis team can take a look at it if they actually should be provided.

Thank you very much in advance for your valuable help.

Hi Fermando,

Is there /sap/public/bc/icf/logoff service in SICF transaction?

If there is no service, probably your NetWeaver version is old. What is SAP_BASIS version?

Hi Masa,

There is no logoff service in SICF. The SAP_BASIS version is:

SAP_BASIS7000025SAPKB70025SAP Basis Component

Hi Fernando,

SAP_BASIS 700 is quite old in your system. The log off service was delivered in 701.

You can update it to 701 or later. The latest one is 740.

Hi Masa,

I will talk with the Basis team related the logoff service. In regards the other missing OData services, the Basis team upgraded the UI5 version from SP04 to SP06 and the services started being available. But after the upgrade, the launchpad started working not very good, if you add or eliminate roles from the users, it does not get updated. In other worlds we cannot add or eliminate applications to the users' launchpad. Do you have any idea?

Thanks,

Fer

Hi Fernando,

For role issue, please try the report /UI2/DELETE_CACHE_AFTER_IMP. The solution is in .

It is better to update the UI5 library version.

FYI: Note for 1.16.* version.

    1953404 SAPUI5 upgrade to version 1.16.7

1945647 SAPUI5 upgrade to version 1.16.6

1940304 SAPUI5 upgrade to version 1.16.5

1931051 SAPUI5 upgrade to version 1.16.4

Hi Masa,

The issue with the roles was solved. Regarding the logoff ICF service, is there any way to point the application to use a custom ICF service to execute the logoff? I'm asking because the Netweaver upgrade could be a big stuff.

Thanks,

Fer

Hi Fernando,

What is deployment option for productive system? Do you have separate box for Gateway or Do you have only ERP box?

You can create custom logoff service and set external system alias in the SICF transaction.

Hi Masa,

We have only ERP box. Could you please elaborate a little bit more about the custom ICF service, I'm not sure I'm following you correctly.

Hi Fernando,

What is your ERP version and EhP version?

When are you going live?

An idea is that copying the log off class from higher SAP_BASIS system and points it using service alias in SICF transaction.

Hi Masa,

Our Ehp version is 3. I will try to experiment with your suggestion for the logoff service.

Thanks,

Fer
