SAP Lumira with Universe as a data source

We are facing the following problems while trying to connect to universe built by Universe Design Tool on BO 4.1

1) Cannot select more than 20 objects from universe(throws HDB 10005 error)

2) Takes long time and goes to system will not respond when  trying to retrieve data of 1 million records .(It is working only when created a query level filter of 50000 records).

3) In the data preparation section Is it possible to edit the  and add some more objects to the dataset created using a Universe.

Software version: SAP LUMIRA 1.13  Standard version for 30 days on  32-bit Windows 7

Please share your comments if at all you faced the problems like them.

Hi,

as per the Help guide, there is an enforced limit when acquiring data locally.

4 Connecting to data sources

4.1 Acquiring data from your data sources

　

I quote:

<< For data that is acquired to manipulate locally, the maximum number of cells that can be acquired is limited by the capacity of your machine, however, you are notified by a warning at 15 million for 32 bit systems, and 30 million cells for 64 bit. >>

so it seems you are already attempting to surpass that threshold.

Moreover, You should also check out this blog

about changes that might need to be made to your WebI Processing Server to help with throughput.

I will try the same by updating to 1.14 .

Any idea about the issue

yeah, by reverting to the toolbar > Data > Edit  .. and selecting more columns

I recommend upgrading to 1.14 Lumira

There is no filtering when you acquire data in Lumira initially so you will need to find ways to limit the data on the data source side.
