Connecting AEX with Decental AAE with different sid

Hi Experts,

Can you please help.

We currently have a PO system (AEX) & we have installed a new AAE system on new host with different sid. We are trying to do post configuration using below steps;

We have performed the below steps;

Installed AAE using SAPINST

Connected to Central SLD

Applied SPS6

Our AEX system is also on SPS6,

After that we are trying to connect to AEX using CTC wizard PI Adapter Engine for AEX.

But the wizard is getting time out on first screen only when we are providing the users for AEX systems.

Can you please help us in confiiguring the AAE with AEX.

Have you check the self registration of the de-central adapter engine?. check the question 3 in this 1314855 - Configuration Wizard: PI-AF initial setup

yeah i had a look at this note. But the documentation from sap is confusing:

The note 1314855 talks abt first scenerio .

Also the first link from SAP for dual stakc PI ask you to do below:

•   Choose Functional Unit Configuration UI .
•   Select the usage type PI Adapter Engine .
•   Choose Enable automatically

Configuration of Non Central AAE for AEX doesnt talk abou these things & it simply ask you to run the ctc wizard

•   Choose Configuration Scenarios Configuration Wizard .
•   Choose CTC wizard PI Adapter Engine for AEX and follow the instructions on the screen.

& as we are AEX & wana connect AAE we are doing above which is nt working.

hi Experts,

So SAP came back & said it is bug in support packs  & CTC will not work.

So asked us to follow manual steps, which we did.

No issue is when we go to integration builder & try to look this new DAAE under list of adaptors to select while configuring new channels, we cant see this.

Can someone suggest.
