I came across this "older" thread looking for information on SAP HANA Live content deployment on SAP HANA SPS09 which has changed compared to older versions.

Best way I found was using hdbalm in command line mode (you can find it under hdbclient filesystems structure).

Download the SAP HANA content zip file from SAP Service Marketplace and upload it to your SAP HANA server, no need to unzip it or anything, just use the file as is from the marketplace download and use hdbalm install (with additional switches host user etc) to install the content.

Hi,

Currently working on a HANA Live, solely for the base ERP (component SAP HANA Analytics for ERP 1.0).

Between OSS notes 1781992 and 1782065 there are currently 571 mandatory tables needed in place in HANA before the VDM content can be successfully activated.

Any bright ideas for creating these in HANA without individually cherry picking each in SAP LT / Data Services, like a wonderfully complete script?!

In addition a query regarding schemas and HANA Live.  If I have schema SAPB11 for tables from source system, how will Hana Live views know the base tables are in this schema so that the views when imported will successfully activate?

Cheers!

JP.

With regard to schemas, am I correct in assuming that the HAN Live content expects the source tables to be in schema SAP_ECC, and if not, a schema mapping from SAP_ECC (authoring schema) to <SOURCESCHEME> (physical schema) is required?

Also execution of script as per OSS note 1799606.

"This note contains steps to create HANA procedure which needs to be executed in order to create catalog views at the time of installation. This is particularly important when schema mapping is used and the physical schemas are different than SAP_ECC, SAP_SCM, SAP_CRM and SAP_GRC.

Without this note, during installation administrators will recieve error messages saying "... schema not found" when physical schema is different than above."

Hi Jon,

Yeah Schema mapping is required, map SAP_ECC Schema to your Schema SAPB11

If you don't want to replicate all tables, then you can try replicating mandatory tables as per SAP Note 0001782065.

As a workaround then replicate the tables that you need for your testing purposes

Then you can manually import Delivery Units, the import will fail.

But all the Views will be present in your sap package and most of them will be in error but the Views for which tables are there will be activated.

Later on as per your need you can replicate tables and activate your desired HANA Models.

Vivek

Hi Rajiv,

As mentioned above by Raj, check the error log

Alternatively, try to import HCOHBAECC.tgz file inside the HANA Live SAR archive and if the import fails then check that for which Calculation View, the activation is not taking place

And are you using SAP_ECC schema for your ECC on HANA system or some other schema

If you are using other schema than you will have to map that schema to SAP_ECC schema so that views can be activated

Hello Rajiv,

One of errors say as "- CalculationNode (TICL020T): ColumnTable AIDCLIENT100:TICL020T not found (cannot get catalog object)."

Can you check if that table is provisoned?

Regards,

Krishna Tangudu

Hi Rajiv,

As Krishna mentioned check that table

Also check if a package is created or not using Lifecycle Management as when we manually import delivery units all objects get imported even if they are not active and give error

So just for cross checking go to Content->sap and check if a package "hba" is there or not - if it is there then you drill down to ecc and then you can see there will be many calculation views inside that package and you can check which all views were not activated and then check those inactive views

As I mentioned above

Alternatively, try to import HCOHBAECC.tgz file inside the HANA Live SAR archive and the import will fail and then you can check that for which Calculation View, the activation is not taking place and can get the reason for it in the error log

If you do this then you will also have to manually import LANG_HCOHBAECC tgz file inside the HANA Live for ERP SAR archive

Vivek

Chance of doing general mistake is missing schema mapping. If not done, then in Modeler perspective, on the Quick Launch tab, select the relevant SAP HANA system and choose Setup, then Schema Mapping to add a new schema mapping from the authoring schema to the physical schema.

HI,

When i check for installed components in SAP LCM, i see that SAP HANA ANALY.ERP EHP4 1.0 -

System components  installed-

HCO_HBA_ECCFD701

HCO_HBA_APPS_HCMR

HCO_HBA_FSCX604

But when i go to content-->sap-->hba-->eccfnd701-->few of them are in red.

When i try to validate them, they give an error.

The same issue for apps-->hcmrenewal-->views.

Thanks,

Rajiv

Is your ECC on EHP4?

As only few views are in error so you can manually try opening the views and check for which table or dependent view they are showing error

Adding to Raj,

Also have an eye on "synonyms" if required any where or missing.

Raj,

I am facing the same issue. I already have two authoring schemas mapped. Do I need to map one more? If yes, which one?

Thanks,

Hi Rajiv,

Please check the log for error details in

/usr/sap/hlm_bootstraps/H21/HLM/log/object_activation_result_01.log

If you are not able to find exact error then attach the log.

Regards

Raj
