Proxy to file using Gzip

Hi ,

We have a requirement where we have to send the file to SFTP location in *gzip format from SAP PI

Does anyone has experience using gzip in sftp/ftp adapters.

I found one thread FTP Transfer with Gzip file | SCN

but this does not have any configuration or steps that we can do in SAP PI.
