Dear Experts,
We'd like to update our BRF+ ( Just add lines of rules and not change the structure ) direct in the production environment, but as this is a PRD we always receive the error because the system is closed on SCC4.
Could you please clarify if its possible has this opened in the environment, there are any way to do it without requests ? We requesting this information because for us is very common update (add) new approvers in our decision tables.
Thanks in advance,
Hi Vitor,
Though technically it might be possible to modify the content in decision table without a request in the productive environment we are not advising it as it may anytime get overwritten when a transport request arrives. To solve this issue, using BRF+ decision service manager addon would be the best option where the changes can be done in one central system and deployed into different productive systems without the need of any transport requests.

Anbu

Vitor:
Instead of using the Decision Table expression, you could build a BRF+ rule to read a custom table that you could update via a custom transaction. BRF+ is extremely flexible in that realm. I am not savvy in this area, but am confident that this can be done. Just a thought.

Hi Vitor,
For customizing change system will always force for client opening and you will not be able to skip the same.
Making changes to decision table regularly is not best practice, you can create custom approver agent and try to create a different logic to ensure BRF is using a dynamic value.
If you need more information, let me know the overall logic of your application's decision table including approver.
