Hi Support ,

I have scheduled the following "SAP_REORG_JOBS" in my Production System .

This job runs successfully . But the JOB log gives the following messages.

***************************************

Job started

Step 001 started (program RSBTCDEL, variant SAP&001, user ID DDIC)

Failed to delete log for job "JOB NAME"

.

.

.

Of the 367 jobs selected, 361 were not deleted

Job finished

Following are its variant

*****************************************************************

Following is the system information

SAP -670

OS - Solaris

Number of Application server : 2Nos

The CI and DB servers are different.

Because of this in all the /sapmnt/<SID> file system are getting full.

Also this file system is mounted explicitly in each Application server.

Hi Anothony,

The solution given by Sri Raghu is the best option and should be practised actually.

However in case you are able to delete job logs even with modified variant due to the fact the file space is already full then delete at OS level and after that make sure that you do TEMSE consistency check. This check is very critical if you are deleting at OS level.

please check OSS note 6604 for this.

regards.

could you please your work directory /usr/sap/<SID>/D*/work and check whether any core file is there and also how much allocated for /usr/sap. There is no problem in SAP_REORG_JOBS job which is running fine as you are deleting only 10 older files. put df -k output here.

Cheers,

Hi Anthony,

So many jobs that needs to be deleted are not deleted by this Report and hence you directory is filling up very frequenctly.

May be you can create a NEW Variant and re schedule the JOB.

We have our variant as below where the Older than days is 14. So spool older than that would be deleted.... you can change it as u would require...

check if it helps you...

Job name *

User name *

Start from (date) . .

(time) : :

to (date) . .

(time) : :

older than (days) 14

Finish date from (date) 00.00.0000

(time) 00:00:00

older than (days)

Event ID

Event parameter

Status scheduled

released

finished X

canceled X

Delete with forced mode X

Hope it Helps.

VBr,

Sri
