Hi Francisco,

As far as I can see JCo packages contain a file Readme.txt in the top level of the directory structure, which tell you about the version in the archive.

Hope that helps

I'm not sure if we have installed the JCo packages on our machine. Where should be these packages on the IFS structure?.

Thanks for your help.

within IFS maybe something like this:

\usr\sap\<SID>\<central-instance>\j2ee\cluster\bin\ext\com.sap.mw.jco\lib\private\.....jar-file

or with systeminfo (nn=instance-no):

http://sapserver:5nn00/nwa/sysinfo

=> component-info

We have no Java stack installed. Can we install the JCo in a standalone ABAP system?.

Best regards.

Hi Francisco,

JCo is the utility to connect a Java application to any SAP system. You do not need an SAP Java stack to run it. Some of your questions might find an answer at the SAP Java Connector link at http://service.sap.com/connectors. In particular the FAQ page should be useful.
