About migrating CCMS configuration(solman7.0→solman7.1)

Hi,

Now solutionManager7.0 windows ＆　CCMS　Monitring

We are currently building a new solutionManager 7.1(Linux) SP8

Future, I will switch to solutionManager 7.1

Please tell us about Monitring setting of CCMS.

We, do you need to monitor new set of CCMS to solman7.1 for?

Is there a way to migrate the monitoring settings of the CCMS continuously from solman7.0?

CCMS setting is T-CD RZ20,RZ21

Hi,

There is nothing as migrating of old setting of solman 7.0 to Solman 7.1

Whatever you done on 7.0, it is already available in RZ20 of solman 7.1.

The changes in 7.1 is vast, means we have more option than CCMS anymore for system monitoring, moreover SAP arleady stopped the CCMS roadmap.

We have new Technical Monitoring which is based on Diagnostic, more powerful and record more metrics than ccms agents.

It is very important to understand the way SAP is going forward with new technologies and what is getting out dated

for e.g with new version CCMS is getting old and new MAI is introduced

SMSY is simply replaced by powerful LMDB etc

Not only this In SAP Teched 2013 SAP also share thoughts of moving entire BPM also on MAI based

so in my opinion better configure MAI based monitoring wihch is advance and recommended rather old CCMS based monitoring
