Solution Manager 7.1 SP8 SLD configuration.

Dear Experts,

We have two system landscapes. As defined below.

Production           ECC_RP1      PI_RPP      EP_RPE

Development       ECC_RD1      PI_RD1      EP_RDE

As the Production system Landscape central SLD is PI_RPP and the development system Landscape central SLD is PI_RDP.

Now we have installed New Solution Manager 7.1 SP8. we need to configure or insert our two landscape systems central SLD in SOLMAN (LMDB & SMSY) for ECC, PI & EP.

how can i move further, pl guide.

Dear ashfaq,

please make your PI system as a central SLD (for dev).

then add these central sld in solman sld.

SAP recommond that if you have java system at your end that never make your solman sld as a central sld.

Hi,

Please find the SAP recommendation and option available in SLD  mapping.

SAP recommendation

Option:2 having multiple SLD

Option:3, not SAP recommended

Option:4, if no central SLD.

So you can choose option:2 , goto solman_setup -> system preparation -> 6.1 select SLD ( add both SLD ) and mark any one SLD is target SLD for data source.

Also check the  Note 669669 - Updating the SAP Component Repository in the SLD ( for CR update)

Dear Karthik,

I choose option 2 & configure two system landscape central SLD's in system preparation step 5.1 but agents are 0 & also pl let me know CR of PI should be updated at the level of solman.

Hi Ashfaq,

Yes CR of PI must have the same level of solman system CR level to synchronize the data.
