We have deployed the SAP PO 7.4 , previous to this we were on SAP PI 7.11.

Now when setting up the IDOC_AAE receiver channel, I am running a scenario from FIle to PO I am receiving following error.

Transmitting the message to endpoint <local> using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.lang.Exception: No configuration / default adapter specified for IDoc_AAE.

We have done the configuration in NWA by following this link

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-43471

ALso have setup Partner Profile.

Have assigend Sender component in outbound processing to override the control records too. Followed following link too

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-43471

Can anyone help resolving the issue.

We had a similar issue.  The problem was in the Module tab of the IDoc_AAE Sender communication channel.  When the channel was originally created, the Module Name and Type were left empty. We allowed the system to create the channel when importing from our 7.1 PI system into the 7.3 environment. I do not know if that process failed to enter the data or if I unintentionally deleted it.

You can enter the data as shown here.  Another method is to delete and recreate the sender channel.

I hope this helps.

Hi Ria - I hope in your receiver channel you have mentioned the destination as "XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION_<<SID>>" and configured the same in NWA too.

Have a look at the below blog.refer to Receiver IDOC AEX adapter

We have created XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION for our ECC system but not the specific one. Does it matter if we don't have  suffix with system PID?

I'm not 100% sure but AFAIK Yes. and it's the SID of ECC system

I've created n i never faced an issue.

You can also refer to the below blog.

Just create another RFC destination for your system and mention that in the receiver channel.
