service /sap/public/bc/webdynpro/viewdesigner not found in SICF

Dear Abapers,

I get an error while trying to access a webdynpro view. It asks to activate the service /sap/public/bc/webdynpro/viewdesigner in SICF transaction. But I am not able to find this service there. Please help.

I am using a trial system.

Hi Tharun,

It seems that the services are not installed properly. Please contact basis team for a proper installation.

As error message pointing to SAP Note: 517484 - Inactive service in the ICF

Please go through the snote and check if all the services are activated to run WD applications successfully.

I'm using a demo system. There is not basis team. All the required services are active except this one service. I am not able to find this service to activate it.

Hi,

I rectified it. One of the node in that path was not activated. Its working fine.
