HI,

Similar questions have been asked a lot.

If you are going to use brtools check this:

Hi Naveed,

You can backup using DB13 or brtools from OS level.Prepare destination system with same version of sap .

After successfully complied backup copy log file & .afd file from oracle\sid\sapbackup folder to Destination systems's oracle\sid\sapbackup.

Now  restore backup using below command on OS level

brrestore –b <XXX>.afd -m full

It take time to restore depend upon database size.

After successfully completed restoration create OPS$ as per SAP NOTE 400241

Hi Naveed,

Which database and OS platform you are running SAP. As the thread is created under Oracle, assumption is Oracle database.

Secondly how do you want to take backup or test restore. ? Using SAP delivered tools or 3rd party backup tools ?

Hi Naveed,

Please check for below link and close this thread if you got the answer

One more thing,Please Check in SCN community related to your query before  opening a new thread because several times the questions are already answered previously by some one ,again repeating  the same thing doesn't make anysense unless the question is left "unanswered" .

I hope you got what am trying to say ,just a suggestion

Best Regards,
