brbackup failed with errors

Hi,

We are having problem to take backup usin brtools, the following error message showingup, please tell me step by step to resolve this issue.

Thanks Vinod, Suni. I changed permissions based on OSS# 113747, but still getting error.

errors, file permissions and env file information shown below. Please suggest me , if any thing wrong.

Hi

Again it is permission problem .

U have execute permission for tools Have the same for Directories from which u want to read and place.Have right permissions in place.

ora<sid> belongs to the dba group,

<sid>adm belongs to the sapsys group,

Enter manually /oracle/E04/sapbackup and modify some thing.

Every thing will be ok.

There is still problem with permission, could you please check the owner/group for /oracle/E04/sapbackup

note the actual permissions of /oracle/E04/sapbackup and /oracle/E04/sapbackup/initE04.log

then:

chmod 777 /oracle/E04/sapbackup

chmod 666 /oracle/E04/sapbackup/initE04.log

try again to see if this helps. if not, upgrade BRTOOLS to latest patch level (20 or above)

if this helps, tell us which permissions are assigned to fix them properly.

Hi,

Authorization problem

ora<sid> belongs to the dba group,

<sid>adm belongs to the sapsys group,

brarchive, brbackup, brconnect, brtools have permission 4775

These can be started by the ora<sid> or the <sid>adm OS user.

brrestore, brrecover, brspace, and sapdba have permission 755:

These can only be started by the ora<sid> OS user
