Hi experts,
in XI in a business service we use a logical server name in FTP connection parameters to connect to an external server of a third party supplier.
This supplier now has changed IP address related to this logical server name (logical server name is the same).
After this change communication channels don't work anymore.
Anyone has idea?
XI has some kind of a hostname table?
There is a cache to refresh?
To explain with an example:
logical name is ftp2.xxx.com
ip address was 152.22.134.22
now is 152.22.130.22
Xi in FTP connection parameter has: ftp2.xxx.com
If I set the new ip address it works, but I need to use logical server name.
Thanks
Fabio
Hi,
Looks like the DNS is not updated with the changed IP address. Better to check with the network team.
Hope it helps!
Abhishek

Hi,
Are you using the same user? Maybe current user do not have permision for the new ftp server. Ask your BASIS team if legacy user has visibility in target dir. You can check it by yourself if you open a OS console and use a common ftp connection.
Test target IP address on OS01. If you recive replies you could ask your BASIS team if host file in server is maintened.

Ask the basis team to check if the DNS entries / host entries are valid on the PI server.

Do a dummy change in communication channels and reactivate it.

hello,
I think u have to change IP address in host file on PI server.
At OS level check for host file under "/etc" path and then modify ftp server IP address.
Thanks
