Dear All Contributors,

Good day

When i check the Archive directory space.( se38 -- >RSBDCOS0 ----> directory ).

I am getting the return code as 1 when executing the command. Can any body tell me what exactly the issue is and how to rectify this issue.

Hi,

Have you check the below note...

1687405 - rsbdcos0: command 'dir' returns nothing but errorcode 1

Thanks

In this note it is specifying like directory is not readable.

The solution for this is mentioned as  (If this error occurs, grant at least read and execute permissions to the SAPservice<SID> user on the above-mentioned directories)

I have check this in OS level(WIndows server 2003) . The space level of oraarch is very less.

But still I am stuck with this issue.

And i am executing the command  dir  \\ofcomlcys026\n$\oracle\se3\oraarch.

It looks to be some share drive ...

\\ofcomlcys026\n$\oracle\se3\oraarch

It surely looks to be permission issue...

Thanks

Hi Sathish

Are you checking the space in a remote location as suggested by the format used.

Seems to be a permission issue.

dir  \\ofcomlcys026\n$\oracle\se3\oraarch.

Thanks

Hi  Satish,

You are mentioning space but have you check which users in windows have access rights to this share?

Check below link in saphelp:

Directory Structure (Windows) - SAP Database Guide: Oracle - SAP Library

And also your env:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/47/1cc68541f64403e10000000a1553f6/content.htm

It sounds like permissions as the others have stated.

Hi johan,

Thank you for the suggestion. I monitor the space every thing in the OS level on the day.

Now I try to login with another user its working fine now. I think i made a mistake in choosing the user.

Thanks

Hello

What is the command you are executing and what OS is this ?

If you want to check the file system space then use df command with the file system name.

Eg: df /oracle/SID/oraarch
