Unable to create JCo Connection................urgent

Former Member

Hi All,

I am developing the FlightList Application. When running the application I am getting the foll. exception

Accessing the System Landsape Directory (SLD) failed. Depending on the concrete reason (see root cause) check the following:

is the SLD Supplier in the J2EE engine configured correctly? See the SLD documentation for more details about the SLD and about how to configure it.

I feel that I need to configure the SLD.

I created a new Techincal System for ABAP in SLD and entered foll. entries

When I am accessing the Content Administration at the foll. link

http://servername:portnumber/webdynpro/welcome

then I see four buttons

1. Create Jco Connection (Button is disabled)

2. Maintain Jco Connection (Button is disabled)

3. Start Assigned SLD (Button is disabled)

4. Check SLD Connection (Button is enabled)

So I am not able to create a Jco connection. Also When I press "CHeck SLD Connection" then I see "Test Connection" button. When I Test the connection then nothing happens.

Please help me out. How should I test whether the SLD has been configured properly and why I am unable to create any JCo Connections

Points assured.

Regards

Nikhil Bansal

Hi,

I think the connection to SLD is not happening. After you click on "Check SLD Connection" scroll down to the bottom of the page and you should be able to see a message.

hi ,

U need to add some properties in VA.

Then only it will works.

U can goto the VA and in SLD data supplier add some properties like this.

1)HTTP settings: host = poratl host , port=50000 ,user = portal username , pwd=give thepwd.

2)RFC settings : Gateway host= poratl host and Gatewayservice=sapgw00

3)CIM client generation settings :host and port are the same as above and user and PWD same above

After this u need to check the Cimclicnt and that shows success.

And finally u need to go to the SLD add ur r/3 system properties and and ip address and host name in the host file of ur windows.

and finally add message server host in the services file in ur windows.

then restart the server.

It might helps u.

Thanks,

Lohi.

Hi Lohitha,

Thanks for the reply.

I did give the HTTP settings in SLD Data Supplier in VA.

However, the foll. message is displayed

HTTP connection parameters specified on this page are solely used by the data supplier service to send information about this J2EE system to your System Landscape Directory. To access your System Landscape Directory you need to map the specified user to security role 'DataSupplierLD'.

I don't find any role DataSupplierLD or user group SAP_SLD_DATA_SUPPLIER in UME.

Also, I dont find the tab for RFC Settings in Visual Admin.

When testing the CIMClient Test I get the foll. message "Failed to generate and test CIMOMClientObject."

Please help me.
