Diagnostics Agents

Hi,

Thanks in advance for your time. I'd like a definitive answer to the following please:

My understanding is that the SAP Solution Manager Diagnostics Agent (SMD) installation on managed systems should be able to connect and feed data to the Wily Introscope EM without any additional Wily Introscope agent insalls, is this correct?

Hi Kevin,

Check the below activities

Managed system:

Install SMD agent and host agent .

Solution manager system:

* Install Wily EM.

* check and update latest ISagent and LMService SP

* Setup system preparation and Basic configuration.( solman_setup)

* Setup managed system setup ( solman_setup) ( if u update the latest isagent or lmservice file rerun  the Configure Automatically ->Byte Code Adapter Installation ->will deploy the new version of the I  Introscope JAVA agent in the managed system servers and reconfigure the JVM parameters to use the  new version of Introscope JAVA Agent ->Restart the affected managed systems

* Now Solution manager system collect required details from managed system for Wily

*Also check the 1483508 - Solution Manager 7.1: Root Cause Analysis pre-requisites

Hello Kevin,

You need "Wily Introscope SAP agent" to be deployed on Managed System's Diagnostic Agent Instance.
