System Preparation - SET UP LMDB

HI Dears

I updated my CR Content SOLMAN after an update Support Package.

See long text, when you activate Synchronization Connections between SLD and LMDB system in preparation in step SET UP LMDB, the error SAP CR Content Version 7.6 lower than in LMDB 9:11 source occurs.

As I  upgraded SAP CR Content in my LMDB?

Hi Luciano Salvarani,

System Info: Sap Solution Manager 7.1 fresh install, the problem apears after the upgrade with SUM tool. The problem said "SAP CR Content version 7.6 in LMDB lower than source 10.12;"

I got that problem this week, and I solve it with the following steps and notes:

1- Go to "SAP Solution Manager: Configuration" Step 6.2 "Set Up LMDB"

2- If you don't have a Synchronization Connection created, create one between your SLD and LMDB, BUT DO NOT ACTIVATE IT! JUST CREATE IT! NO ACTIVATION!

3- Run the job "RLMDB_SAP_CR_REPAIR_LMDB" on background (tx-code: se38)

4- Sap note informs that this could take 2 hours to do the work, but on my case it took arround 8 hours

5- When the job finishes, just go back to the "SAP Solution Manager: Configuration" Step 6.2 "Set Up LMDB" and activate the Synchronization Connection, and it should work!

This was the steps i did followed!

Perform the CR repair in the LMDB by following these steps:

1. If your SAP Solution Manager is on release 7.1 SP03 - SP09, implement the attached correction instructions.

But i try scheduling the job,  error happens.

I get the same problem you describe when I run RLMDB_SAP_CR_REPAIR_LMDB were you able to find a solution to this?

Turns out note 1940068 is missing some detail:

This worked for me:

In step 3 which explains how to get the correct CR content version to do this I had to install an older version of SAP on a temporary server to get a copy of the full CR Content (CR_Content.zip) older than my current LMDB version so I could follow note 1962139.

1. Delete the newly created synchronization connection.

2. Create a separate namespace in the new source SLD, with the new CR

content.

3. Apply CR content version X.X (one required by you LMDB) to the newly created SLD namespace

(Please refer to SAP Note 1962139  in order to update your CR Content

of the new SLD to exactly X.X of you LMDB).

4. Connect the newly created SLD namespace to your LMDB, as CR content

source.

5. Make sure CR content version X.X has been synchronized into LMDB

(fully synchronized and incremental synchronization active). This step

is very important. Please make sure there is no pending changes in the

SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001 job and there is no pending changes in LMDB_ADM.

6. Apply the new CR content version 9.12 to the newly created SLD

namespace according to SAP Note 669669.

7. After the new CR content version has been synchronized with the

LMDB (no pending changes in the Advanced... popup), delete the

synchronization connection.

8. Recreate the SLD synchronization connection which you created at

the beginning.
