Hi experts,
is there a possibility to create also alerts for grey-metrics?
Or how to ensure, that a metric did not get in "grey-status" and will not be checked?
Kind regards
Hi Christian,
Metrics are in Grey status because they are not active, have not been calculated yet or the extrator presents problems.
You can check on the Troubleshoting option to figure out what is happening.
Thanks

Hi Christian,
I guess you could open system monitoring by selecting the Technical Monitoring tab ==> System Monitoring menu, and selecting a managed system and the expand all the metrics from there and see if any of the metrics are gray.

Herman

Hi Christian,
As far as my knowledge goes, there no kind of automatic alert you can activate to inform you of a metric that has an issue. So for now it is still part of the daily checks we all have to do.
But I do agree that that would be quite useful, and time saving.
Sorry I could not assist.
Herman.

Hello Shiva,
nice information, which is already used from myself.
However, I use this tool to find out, why it is grey....
But I want to have a tool, to get informed if a metric is grey, and don't want to check every days if everything is fine.
However, I wrote a customer metric, which is a function module in solution manager system and there I read the grey-metrics.
Kind regards
Hi Christian,
I totally agree with you that whenever a metric goes into grey it should be automatically notified. We are working on this with SAP. So far we found MEASCOUT Tcode is the best option through that we can schedule background job which checks for grey metrics and notify. However we have couple of issues with that, hence working with SAP.
Regarding the customer metric which you are referring whether it checks continuously and notify in case of grey metrics?
Shiva
Ok guys, now I have it.
In solman-self monitoring there should be the answer.
I didn't activate it till now but there are a lot of checks regarding technical monitoring.
Thank you to everyone.

Hi Christian,
Maybe SAP note 1774582 can help here?
Kind regards,
