HI:

on MM41/42 when I enter the purchase price and click sales view. SAP calculate Final Price automatically.

Is SAP looking for priceing procedure and how? or what logic to calculate this price?

Pls advise.

Hi Mandy,

It is a standard behavior of SAP. When the purchasing price is being maintained for an article for specific vendor, it forms a landing cost. When you navigate to sales view, system will internally calculate the pricing (similar to VKP5) for final selling price using a pricing procedure WWS001. So it will take your purchase price as landing cost, then keep the markup field blank initially and calculates the final SP without mark-up.

This is because, in configuration, there is a default assignment of pricing procedure to your distribution chain in SPRO -> Logistic General -> Retail Pricing -> Sales Price Calculation -> Assign Pricing Type/Reference Site to Organizational Level.

If you see the pricing type (SPRO -> Logistic General -> Retail Pricing -> Sales Price Calculation -> Maintain Pricing Type) in detail, you will see the pricing procedure assigned which is trying to calculate your final SP.

I hope this will help.

Let us know if you have any other concern.

Regards,

Amit
