how to create table n templates. pls send simple code.n wat is the difference b/w table n templates.

Hi Ashwini,

You can right click and create both template or table.

The difference between them is :

Template is fixed columns and fixed rows and for each every row we have to assign variables or internal table fields.

Wheareas Table we can have any number of rows once we asssign internal table fields to the columns of the table. we genearlly use Table in Main window unlike template which can be used in any window coz main window extends the data to the next page but other windows dont.

Hi Ashwini

You can right click on the window and create both table and Template. Table will grow if the number for records increases but if you know the correct number of lines in the table go for templates.

1.Template is static.. N number of colums and rows u need to define.. only these will be disalyed.. while in table u will define line type and and number of line types will be extended if u have more data to be printed eve n new page will be triggered.

2. If the data is not fit in the template cell tehn it will be truncated, while in Table the cell height will be increased.

Hi

1.Create Smartform : ZSMARTFORM.

Go to Main window--->Right click Create----> Table/Template.

2. Template is used for static data and table is used for Dynamic data (like internal table).

Sample code is not possible as these are added as the nodes in the main window and then designed.

But the basic difference is tables are used for dynamic data and templates are used for static data.
