Dear Experts ,

I am having requirement , to post sales tax in different GL account at the time of sales return for following cases:

1. If sales return made after 6 months of original invoice.

2. If Goods are expired .

we are using same sales docuemnt type for sales retun if goods are returned before 6 months . What would be the best possible option to achive this requriment.

Thanks in advance

Hi

For the accounting determination, you must do it with tcode OB40. In this transaction, set in rules

and populate the G/L account, depending of tax code. Determine other tax code depending your scenario.

For further information, see these notes

SAP Note 117983 - Change of tax on sales/purchases (w/o tax jur.code)

SAP Note 872449 - Tax determination in Sales and Distribution

SAP Note 392696 - R/3 Tax Interface Configuration Guide

For note 392696, see the attachment.

I hope this helps you

Hi,

In India, if returns are after 6 months, sales tax may not be returned to customer.

Further, are you using batch management? How are you tracking goods expiry currently?

TKG, then you can use a different pricing procedure specifically for returns and assign new accrual keys to condition types so that figures can be passed to required G/L accounts.

OR If you are using same pricing procedu re, then include different condition types for returns with item category as one of the keys in access and different accrual keys as mentioned above. You can have an access item category/batch number for return price & item category/batch number/ tax class cust/tax class mat etc. for return tax conditions.
