Hello All,

My system always running well but today I found there are lots of swaps in ST02, but the hitratio is almost beyond 95%, may I know whether this is normal or abnormal? and how can I reduce them? or is it possible that there is no any red area in ST02?

For details please have a look at the picture attached. Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Fresh man

HI,

Your hitratios look good with exception of InitialRecords which is only 82%.

As mentioned by the other bloggers here check your history part of ST02 this will indicate if it is of any concerts. For which you can open by starting the RSTUNE56 report or transaction ST02 and selecting History (Shift+F6)

For initial records perhaps increase the following two parameters.

rsdb/ntab/irbdsize

rsdb/ntab/entrycount

Also check your export/import buffers.

649613 - Export/import buffer SWAPS

As per the aforementioned note:

Monitor the buffer with transaction ST02 and, if necessary, increase the profile parameters.

The following profile parameters are relevant to the export/import buffer:

             rsdb/obj/buffersize

             rsdb/obj/max_objects

If, in transaction ST02, "free directory" for the export/import buffer is very small or 0, rsdb/obj/max_objects must be increased. If "free space" displays very small values, the parameter rsdb/obj/buffersize is set too small and must be increased

Kind Regards,

Johan

Hi,

When was the last that your system was restarted?

Bear in mind the values displayed in ST02 are acumulative, it indicates the number of swaps since system start, the important check is how many swaps you have on daily basis.

Please, check on the history of every buffer.

Hello Freash MAn,

You have to fine tune your parameter you go to the red component and it will open one screen there you the the current parameter , the problem in that paramaters only ..increse the parameter 30% .
