Information Steward 4.2 RFC connected to SAP ECC - Scorecard task stuck on Pending - Please Help!

Hi, could someone please help.

I set up IS 4.2 SP1 to connect to SAP ECC6 for scoring data, using an RFC.  It connected well, but when I try to run a score task, the task remains on PENDING.

Please help.

Hi Michael,

Do all your task stay in pending?

Do you get a log create at some time?

You may need to setup teh DS/IS jobserver.

1648053 - How to configure Data Services job server for Data Insight

The ISjobserver in teh CMC might be missing some services.

1891519 - The selected integrator is not deployed.

Hi Bill,

In my case when ever i run a (profile/rule) task on any table from ECC in Information Steward, it's failing and is generating an error log as shown below. But, i am able to view data when i click on "View data" icon after selecting the imported table.

error: Data flow <DF_Rule_NP_142_1> received a bad system message. Message text from the child process is <￯﾿ﾘ￯ﾾﾮC￯﾿ﾷR&#127;==========================================================

Collect the following and send to Customer Support:

1. Log files(error_*, monitor_*, trace_*) associated with this failed job.

2. Exported ATL file of this failed job.

3. DDL statements of tables referenced in this failed job.

4. Data to populate the tables referenced in the failed job. If not possible, get the last few rows (or sample of them) when the job failed.

5. Core dump, if any, generated from this failed job.

Hi Michael,

Try running it with the connection setting for run in background set to no.

If that still fails you should open a case under EIM-IS. I'll grab it if I see it in time.
