hi,
we've a SAP NetWeaver Portal running on 7.3. i've uninstalled two unused dialog instance. in the config tool those instances still presented. i also found several entries in log files because those instances could not be reached.
how do i remove those instances from the landscape? in the config tool? (switch to configuration editor mode - cluster_config - system - instances) i could not find any documentation
thanks for help
André
I couldn't find an SAP note for NW 7.3.
Check whether this SAP note can help you.
Try to play with the configtool and see what possible options are there.

Are there any solutions for this problem?
We are facing the same problem. The SWPM didn't delete the instance id in configtool.

Hi,
How did you remove the dialog instance . Did you use SWPM(sapinst) and then go to Software lifecycle management, there you will find the option to uninstall the instance, it will ask you for he instance SID as well as Instance number too, then it will remove all the registry entries as well as files.
can also check the below note...

Hello Andre
There is an attachment in the SAP note which contains some screen shots.
I am aware that Configtool is different in the newer NetWeaver systems and that is the reason I asked to play with the Configtool to see the available options.
Based on the screenshot it looks like you are in the right path.
Make sure to to take a backup before you do this and once done restart the system and check if the system is working fine.
