Assigning role owner to few roles and want he approves on second level for these roles.

Dear All,

I have requirement where I want few roles to be approved only by role owner on second level.

I made role owner setting in Access management also assigned role owner in Role update.

But when I go to workflow --> Maintain stages--. Modify  --->Routing enabled yes -->and put the rule GRAC MSMP route no Role owner --> Line item level --> and Save... the roles which do not have role owner do not get approve and keeps on pending in workflow...

Can anyone suggest what I need to maintain...??

Dear Abhisshek,

I am not sure if I fully understood your question. Let me share my configuration as I think you are looking for a similar approach.

We have three approval steps: Manager > Role Owner > Security Stage

Role Owner stage: GRAC_ROLEOWNER without enabled routing (flag is not checked)

In "Maint Route Mapping" I have a route mapping for GRAC_MSMP_ROUTE_NO_ROLEOWNER which goes from the Default Path to a "NO_STAGE" path.

With such configuration roles without role owner are provisioned automatically.

Dear Abhisshek,

sorry - I forgot to mention a configuration parameter has to be set as well. Set parameter 2038 (Auto Approve Roles without Approvers) to YES.

Thanks for your reply. Your opinion was really helpful. I actually made BRF + Rule and its working well now... and its just two level approval one is Manager and second is Role Owner.
