Mail Box creation

Please suggest if mail box/id creation can be done by PI consultant or Admin/Basis team where the mail scenario is involved?

Can you be more specific when you say mailID creation?

If your are looking for SMTP configuration then the below doc helps.. which a PI consultant can take care of..

Hi

We have a scenario of File to Mail and would like to know who can creata mail id to which we can recieeve the files for processing.Is that the responsibility of Basis to get it create or any other team for this mail id creation.

I don't think a developer creates a mail ID or a basis resource. It's out of SAP.

You need it in active directory. If you have security team/the team which takes care of active users will do that..

A developer should be provided with that mail ID and he will take care setting up SMTP to send email in SAP.
