RF GUN ISSUE

Hi All,

In our SAP ECC system we had an issue with users working with RF
scanners

How RF scanners work in our landscape :

Users scan using RF scanners and the scanned result goes to a RF
SAP Console windows system and from there to SAP ECC system SP7. But ,
somehow the lock entry of that particular user is not released. Even
after user logs out of the system , the lock entry remains which stops
other users from working.
This is an intermittent issue and we got the network connectivity
checked and it was found to be fine
Please check and suggest

Some of the user plant user scan the pallets through RF gun and the
data transfer from RF gun to ECC system through RF console.
when one of the user is in the process of this activity the table get
exclusive locks (AUFK, EM07W, MCHA, MKAL, VEKP, etc), which didn't get
released after the user logout, so the other user are not able to punch
the data through RF gun.

Inputs by functional team:

"The tcode is ZRFPAWAY where user scans the HU for put away stocks in warehouse

(WH160). While doing put away, system hangs in processing which causes slowness

or freeze due to lock entry getting generated."

Does anyone has some ideas how to fix the same?

The network team says there is no n/w issue

from the RF scanner and the SAP Console.

Any inputs would be of great help.

Well, never seen that issue with RF guns, but you have mentioned that this is a custom transaction, I would ask the ABAP team to debug their code.

Install the latest version of SAP Console and update the kernel of the SAP system and see if that helps.

Unfortunately these issues can only be identified only by closely examining the system.
