Hi,
Is there anyone knows the behavior of Downgrade Protection? Currently we are having issues during import of the transports related security transports. Import of security transport like Role transports (in this case to BAT system) due to 1000 DGP conflicts causing a time out in the system.
Performance issue with DGP functionality which happens whenever there are security changes with several DGP conflicts.
Is there anyone knows?
Thanks in Advance
Erwin

Hi Erwin,
There may be one workaround. You can setup exception list for the DGP. However the exception list always works at SID:CLIENT level. This does not distinguish whether the transport contains Roles or any SAP objects. If you are having 1000s of DGP check messages and not taking any action at them; why don't you turn off the DGP permanently?

Vivek
Hi Vivek,
Thanks for feedback, for the testing we use as SID client, But what we are really using is system landscape. DGP is one of the requirement from our set-up. We set as a warning only in all conflict type and can be ignore the warnings to proceed the importing.
What we are thinking is why still displaying the DGP assignment block some of the change document that are already imported to production and closed the change document.
And the transports related the security role, once we import the transport, the DGP assignment block displaying a lot of warning conflicts and it cause of system timed out.
Thank you.
Regards,
Erwin.
