Getting error in SM21 . Please help me on this

Hi,

After rebooting the AIX server, i am getting the below error in SM21 logs please help me on this

AIX: 6.1 , ERP 2004 oracle 11.2.0.3

Operating system call gethostbyname failed (error no. 0 )

Hi Subbu

As mentioned above , please post the complete details of the Sm21 log entry.  This message comes in different scenarios and is mostly related to the network resolution of host name and IP address.

Are you observing this during any specific activity ?

Hi,

Can you please past the full SM21 screen shot.

Have you configured remote system for eg in DBAcockpit.....etc..

When this system was started the another remote system was not started at that time.

Is this message still appearing in the logs..

Do you use DNS or host file.

Can you also check the below note.
