Hi Experts,
I am SAP CRM Functional Consultant, from quite sometime i have been contemplating to enhance my skills & i am having confusion whether to go for SAP HANA or Hadoop.
I don't know whether asking about Hadoop prospects in SAP HANA forum would get me proper results or not but atleast the experts in this forum can enhance my understanding regarding SAP HANA / Hadoop as both are big data management tools ,which can help me in making my decision.
Hope to hear from the experts with your opinions.
Cheers,
Nikhil
Hi Nikhil,
HANA and Hadoop are there to complement each other.
Being a CRM consultant I would advise you to learn HANA and CRM on HANA
Read CRM on HANA Cookbook:
https://cookbook.experiencesaphana.com/crm/
If you are interested in Hadoop also, you can learn about Hadoop and its integration with HANA
Recently SAP has signed agreements to redistribute and support Intel Distribution Apache Hadoop and Hortonworks Data Platform to customers.

You can read my blog on Hadoop and Hadoop Integration with HANA

You can also read Hadoop and HANA Integration blogs by Mahesh:

I would advise you to learn HANA and then learn Hadoop and try using both of them together

Vivek
