FAIL: process hdbindexserver HDB Indexserver not running

Hi All,

I am on SAP HANA for Business one verison 9.0 PL00. HANA Platform Edition Rev 52

I am trying to upgrade to 9.0 PL04 with HANA Platform Edition Rev67.

I followed SAP Note 1943067 until step 4 - Restart HANA server

After that, my HDB instance cannot be started in HANA Studio.

I tried to run ./HDB Start and i am getting this error

Please advise what needs to be done and how about doing it?

Could you please provide indexserver trace so we can got more inofrmation about issue you are facing.

There are many files in the trace folder.

May i know which file should i provide to you? can i email it to you?

Hi

PLease check indexserver.trace file ,

Also please try to stop the HDB and clean memory using cleanipc <nr> remove command.

thenn start the HDB.

Which one do you want to see? all of the files are very big

Hi,

Refer to the trace file based on timestamp. i.e. the time when your upgrade failed. In your case it is 8 Jan 11:08

Hi Vimala,

That file is 3MB in size. I can't copy the entire content to here.

hi Atul,

I am not able to run the cleanipc in our hana server.

We are running HANA for Business One.

Hi Taw,

Please open the indexserver_ine-hana.30003.004.trc and check if there is any error inside this trace file.

also you can run cleanipc <nr> remove  at os level with sidadm user.
