Execute Mass Physical Inventory at the Warehouse
Hi, We are on the verge of hiring an external party to come and do a complete physical inventory of all the stocks in our warehouse. We will provide the external vendor, a list of all the articles at the warehouse, they will execute the count and enter them into their devices and system. They will provide the file with counts in CSV format which we will load into our system for posting. Is there a standard way of mapping the above in SAP warehouse management. Please advise on what is the best way to execute this.

Thanks for the reply. This is useful. The external party is giving us the count sheet in CSV format. Do you know if this will this help in that situation?

An ABAPer has to write a program to upload this file and to generate IDOCs from the values in the file. You can find plenty information in SCN about this.

As far as i am aware in inventory management we have a transaction code MI34 which allows you to  upload the count result directly into system.Please have a look onto this

We are using Warehouse Management Module for the warehouse.

MI34 is used for IM physical inventory right
