I have 2 web dynpro components A and B. I added a web dynpro component in B to the public part. then i created a usage dependency in component A to comp B. Now i try to use the web dynpro component from comp B but i can only choose comp A.
What did i forget ?
Or is it just a bug.
I'm using NWDS SP9
regards
Jens
Hi Jens,
You have A and B components and you want to use B is A .Am i right ??
1. Create Component B.
2. Create a public part and add the component to the
public part.
3. Do a DC build.
4. Now create component A.
5. Add the component B under usedDCs of component A.
6. Refresh DC settings once .
7. Now you should see the component B in the usedWebdynprocomponents while adding.

Hi Anilkumar,
i just did it as you described it,but some things are different.
1) i created both component on after the other.
2) the both components are in different SCs (the dependencies between these 2 SCs must be correct as i could establish a usage dependency between the 2 DCs)
Both DCs are centrally build and deployed at the moment.
I refreshed the DC settings and tried it again but couldn't get the entry.

Hi Jens,
Ideally this should work !!
Could be a bug in SP9 but i am not sure.
Please check once agian weather you are adding the component while creating the public part.
Did component B build successfully ??

Hi Jens,
You need to give grants in the component B.
1 .Go to Developmentconfiguration Perspective.
2. Expand the DC ->DC Metadata->AccessList ->Select Add Grant
and select the component that is going to use this component.
