Hi Experts,
When i am trying to create a Warehouse Task with an inbound delivery, the system is throwing an error as this.
I maintained necessary strategies.
When we see the error, system is able to determine my storage type, but some where i am missing the master data.
I have maintained the HU type in product master data.
Kindly help.

Hello Yogi,
I am bit surprise the error message shown by syste,
" HU Type E1 not permitted in Storage Type P001 "
Whereas the Storage types you have highlighted no storage type P001 can be seen.
Please correct me if I am going wrong.
I again urge you to check the HU Type,Bin Type and Storage Type assignment properly.
BR,
Olet
Hi Olet,
Yes, it is a strange error message .I have checked the configurations.
*Storage type DO01 and 0081 has allowed E1 storage unit types.
* Actually P001 is a storage bin type not a storage type. Even the configuration for allowed storage unit types in storage bin types are also defined.
* And the respective Storage bin master have storage bin type P001 assigned.
Not sure why this error is coming.
Regards,
Yogi
Hello Yogi,
In ewm there are two different nodes where we maintain settings for this assignment.
Check the same in below nodes because I believe EWM can't give such strange error.
1.Goods Receipt Process > Strategies Storage Bin Determination > HU Types
2.Cross-Process Settings > Handling Units > Basics
Cross check the HU requirement is enabled in interim storage type.
Issue is around above part only.

Olet
Hi Anoop,
When I tried to confirm the WT system gives the error message and when I close the pop up box it exits the transaction. I am not getting the logs. I tried from WH mon and from /scwm/to_conf but unable to get the log.
I have the below information.
@ Olet : I checked both the SPRO paths. E1 storage unit is maintained for both DO01 and 0081 storage types and respective bin type P001/P002

Hello Yogi,
Please correct the below config :
1. LOSC
If you are doing inbound process don't give source storage type leave it blank(ST Typ1)
Just give intermediate storage type 0081(St typ2) and destination storage type (ST type 3).
Assign WPT and mark check ID point as shown above.
2.Correct settings in 0081.
Remove the check mark
Remove availability group
BR,
Olet
Hi Olet,
Thanks for your reply.
a) I changed the stype 0081 settings.
b) My requirement for LOSC is :
step 1. Door ( D001 ) > 0081 /0081-ID- POINT
step 2. 0081-ID- POINT > 0081-PICK-POINT ** here 0081-PICK-POINT is just a bin**
step 3. 0081- PICK-POINT > 0080/ 0080-FINAL-BIN
Please help me with the configuration. System is creating only one WT as of now which is for Step1.
And when I am trying to confirm that it is giving the earlier stated error.
BR,
Yogi
Hello Yogi,
In LOSC process system creates WT as per intermediate steps between source and dest.
In your case system will create 2 WT
Door - GR-Zone - 1 WT
GR-Zone to Final location - 1 WT.
Now confirm the firs WT i.e from door to gr-zone else second WT will remain in waiting status.
Then you can confirm the final WT.
BR,
Olet
Hi Olet,
Thanks for all your help . I figured out the issue. There was a typo in configuration.
The door storage type is D001 but it was maintained as DO01 in the Storage bin type- HU configuration. It is bit strange that system is not validating the storage type while doing the configuration.
After maintaining correct data, system has confirmed the WT's.

Yogi
HI Azam,
please uncheck in your storage type HU-Type check, then will work if you have any amount of quantity in IBD.

Hi,
"I have maintained the HU type in product master data."
You mean you maintained the data here (or hopefully in the master data on the ERP side, but here you will see it):
Nice try , but obviously does not work. The F1 help to this field also say that: "Describes the standard handling unit type for mixed handling units, where no packing instruction is used for creating the HU."
Now I don't want to say I completely understand how that field is supposed to work, but I suppose you do not have any mixed HU, isn't it?
If you look through the log you get (and especially the complete log, not just the pop-up) you will see that you have NO HU type at all (the messages says "HU Type (this is a blank space) is not permited."
You either need
- an HU or
- a packaging specification for palletization or
- create a palletization when creating the WT
- or you switch off the HU type check in your storage type.
Best regards
Juergen

Hi Azam,
Probably , HU types need to be mapped in
EWM->Cross process settings->HU->Basics->Define HU types for each storage type
