Unable to login Visual admin in EP via administrator

Dear Techies,

Here I am getting the problem unable to login into visual admin tool through Administrator user id...with using administrator user id i am able to log in in Portal site...earlier i was able to login in VA, but unable to login now !!!....Please help us...

Check the latest default trace when the error happens.

Also could you provide the initial screen of the Visual Admin before you try to login ?

Are you able to login to the portal with the Administrator user and the password ?

What does default trace say ?

If the Administrator user is locked then try to login to the system with the super user and unlock and change the password for the Administrator user.

If you change the password of the Administrator user then make sure to update the secure store in the configtool.

Dear RB,

Thanks...i have checked logs under server0\log\system\security.log  and found admin as locked. as i logged in to the Portal with administrator and I done unlock & reset the password then i tried to login in VA . Now I am able to log-in to the VA.

Raz,

If you have changed the password for the Administrator user make sure to update the password in the Configtool under securestore.

Hi Raza,

Which database you are using.

if oracle , check the listener(check the default trace of java)

Also check the application log , default trace and security log.

Please check if you are able to login using the j2ee_admin user.  If not , then check the security log at this location :

server0\log\system\security.log  , it will contain the description as to why the login is not working ..

if user is locked, and you have no admin user , then you need to follow the SAP note :

Use "j2ee_admin" user or <SID>ADM user to logon to VA.
