Kernal parameters errors while installing in hp-ux 11.31

    Hi Team,

Kindly help me to solve this issue.

I am installing ECC 6.0 SR2, before installation checked the pre-requisite for HP-UX 11.31 with ORACLE Database.

It is showing the following OS Kernel parameters to set with values.

dbc_max_pct

dbc_min_pct

nfile

msgmap

msgssz

msgseg

But, when I look into OS Kernel parameters, these all are not there in HP UX 11.31

Can anyone suggest me, how to go ahead with these parameters as well as where these parameter values effect if we omit.

Hi Rishi & Sunil,

For the correction of my self

dbc_max_pct  = filecache_max

dbc_min_pct   = filecache_min

So need to set the equivalent values in this parameters.

and msgseg and msgmax parameters i can omit as it is obsolete in HP-UX 11.31.

Hi,

When you go for the parameter check report does it gives you critical error ?

These two parameters are for file system caching. So related tp performance.

dbc_max_pct ,dbc_max_min_pct

Why cant you change it?
